Shalom Center & COVID 19
Shalom Center is committed to the wellbeing of our residents, staff, clients, and the community. We have taken active steps to meeting the need of our community and protecting their health and wellbeing.
We've adjusted spacing in our building to promote physical and safe distancing.
Face coverings are required while in our building and around others.
We've enhanced cleaning procedures and have placed hand sanitizer stations throughout our building.
Meals on the Go will be served Sunday to Saturday at our location at 4314 39th Avenue from 5 PM - 6 PM. Additionally, Meals on the Go will be served at:
Monday: Immanuel United Methodist Church
Tuesday: Christ the King Church
Wednesday: Grace Lutheran Church
Friday: Christian Reformed Church
Food will be distributed Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM in our parking lot. We will load these in your vehicle. Please make sure your vehicle's trunk or back seat are clear of items.
Donations are gratefully appreciated. We have posted a list of items (click link) that we need and use regularly here at Shalom Center.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the community as we work to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our community. We will continue to prioritize serving the individuals and families in our community. Together, we can continue to make a difference and get through these unusual times.
COVID-19 Guidelines for Volunteers
Face masks that cover nose and mouth are required for all volunteers.
We ask that volunteers experiencing the following do not report for scheduled volunteer opportunities including:
- Fever or Chills. - Cough. -Shortness of breath
- Difficulty breathing - Fatigue. -Muscle or body aches
- Headache - New loss of taste or smell. - Sore throat
- Congestion or Runny Nose. - Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea - In contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms/case
