Food Distribution Event

Event Date: Thursday, September 24, 2026

Event Time: 9:00am - 1:00pm

Event Cost: Free

To mark their 150th anniversary, Eli Lilly and Company is supporting the charitable efforts of United Way to help expand access to nutritious food in communities across the U.S. As a nonprofit partner, Shalom Center will be a food distribution site for this effort.

On Thursday, September 24th from 9:00am to 1:00pm, the public is invited to come to the Shalom Center food pantry door to receive fruits, vegetables, and fresh protein. This food distribution event is open to everyone without restriction. Our normal food pantry days and hours of operation will not be affected by this special food distribution event. Please note that no appointment is necessary and that the food distribution will be a drive-through, pick up procedure only.

About the Center

Shalom Center is a 501(C)3 in Kenosha County serving as the only homeless shelter, largest food pantry, and longest running nightly meal program. Shalom Center is a community resource that provides housing, food, guidance, and support to individuals and families in need across our community. Our mission is simple: serve the community through food, shelter and supportive ways. We believe that this mission will help realize a greater vision: self-sufficiency by maximizing the potential of people we serve.
